Inspirational legend and the world’s first paraplegic road racer, Talan Skeels-Piggins, is featured in this trailer by Speechless Films: Dream the Impossible. Proud comrade of 44Teeth, Talan went onto setup The Bike Experience – a charity that teaches riders with an array of disabilities how to get back on a bike again – before setting up the world’s first disabled race team, Talan Racing.
Back in 2003, TSP was riding his Fireblade on the road and was innocently swiped by a car into oncoming traffic. He was told there was a 30% survival rate and that he wouldn’t walk again. During those years, Talan has not only fought his way back onto a bike and teach hundreds of other disabled riders, he’s also competed at the Winter Paralympics for Team GB as a downhill skier.
