As you probably would have gathered by now, we spent some time with James Hillier – the third fastest man ever to lap the Isle of Man TT course – down at his team base of Bournemouth Kawasaki in, erm, Bournemouth. There was our TT-based chat and Maccas drive-thru VanVlogs, but we also were lucky enough to witness the birthing of his brand-new 2016 ZX-10R superbike being primed for a season of pure road competition.
Although the new Kawasaki is a comprehensive overhaul from the previous incarnation, some superbike paraphernalia like the tank (which is a work of art) and swingarm (which is also a work of art, and costs more than a small house in Scunthorpe) has slotted straight onto James’ 2016 steed. And, as you’d expect, the quality and attention to detail is exquisite.
Sometimes, we’ll gather content that doesn’t quite make a standalone edit, not enough to make a story/feature/review. Like this. Here’s a quick walkaround of Hillier’s 200+bhp weapon, the very first time she’d sucked, squeezed, banged and blew…
