Launched in the Sierra Nevada desert in Spain, Ducati’s latest addition to the Scrambler range could well be the best derivative yet, despite Bologna engineers injecting additional off-road genes into the Desert Sled. And the fact it looks like an old Yamaha XT is an added bonus.
The Desert Sled isn’t just a Scrambler with token cross-country aesthetics. There’s a tangible beefed-up substance that doesn’t sacrifice road etiquette, plus a few changes that will undoubtedly improve urban skills and appease newer riders.
