Other than Scarlett Johansson and a licence to print money, there isn’t a better way to spend a Bank Holiday weekend than racing at Cadwell Park. The now annual Party in the Park is the busiest, liveliest and loudest British Superbike round on the calendar, and I had the pleasure of racing parading the P&H/Carl Cox Motorsport 899 Panigale around the Lincolnshire circuit all weekend, predominantly in glorious sunshine.
Cadwell is utterly unique. Some say it’s too dangerous for modern machinery, while others revel in its nadgery idiosyncrasies and challenges. I love the track but it’s a track that doesn’t love me, and the results signify this trend.
Here’s an onboard snippet from morning warm-up, where we concentrated on set-up for the race rather than outright pace.
