Yep, that’s right, Perkins is going racing. This exclusive announcement comes following the news that the No Limits Racing twins Championship will be sponsored... Baron von Grumble finally goes racing with CFMOTO

Yep, that’s right, Perkins is going racing. This exclusive announcement comes following the news that the No Limits Racing twins Championship will be sponsored by CFMOTO in 2021. The Chinese bike manufacturer, CFMOTO, are the biggest shareholder in the Chinese motorcycle market (19%), the biggest motorcycle market in the world. Their association with No Limits Racing coincides with the launch of their new 700CL-X. The 700CL-X features a high-performance 700cc parallel twin engine. Just the thing for mini-twin racing.

To showcase the performance and reliability of the new engine and the CFMOTO range in general, CFMOTO have entered a team into the Super Twin class at NLR (No Limits Racing). And they’ve signed Baron up. He’s probably the first person in the history of the world to have secured a full-factory contract before even applying for his first race license.

But Chris won’t be the only one racing, oh no. He’ll be joined by TT race winning superstar Gaz Johnson. Last years NLR Standard Twins class winner Tommy Downes is also part of the team. And TT, Endurance and Classic bike (and just about everything else) racer, Joe Akroyd is also having a crack. It’s also looking like the rest of the 44Teeth crew (Fagan and Boothy) might get the odd race.

NLR Racing Manager Mark Neate said:

“We are proud to announce our association with CFMOTO. It is always fantastic to have manufacturer support in our paddock. I believe it shows how important club level racing is for testing and development as well as brand promotion.

CFMOTO bringing their new 700 super and standard twins to the grid will cater for all; whether you are new to racing or a season vetera. I think they look like a super option for very competitive racing. This will be our fourth season featuring a twins championship and it is a class I really enjoy watching. I look forward to following the progress of CFMOTO riders this year.”

The first round is at Donnington Park on the 17th and 18th of April and we’ll be bringing you all the action on 44teeth.com as well as the YouTube channel, so stay tuned!
