Hidden amongst the plethora of talent displayed at the NEC last week was this stealth beauty. To celebrate 30 years of Ninja, Kawasaki UK has been working with Jarrod ‘Jack’ Frost and his Holeshot Racing armoury to create a turbocharged ZX-10R. The H2R and its dyno spectacle may have stolen the limelight at Motorcycle Live, but the £50,000 blower would get eaten alive…
Kawasaki wanted the bike to look as standard as possible, and while Jack’s creation retains the lights and much of the standard fairing, there’s no hiding from the gargantuan Garrett GTX-30-76 billet wheeled turbo protruding from the 10R’s side. There are also Carrillo rods and CP pistons to cope with the extra oomph.
As you can see, the fuel tank has been modified to house a larger fuel pump and a Syvecs ECU has the job of controlling the job. There’s no official power output but 450bhp was a quoted figure from someone who knows. And judging by the rear tyre, it looks as though she corners, too.
To the trolls who malign such juicy power, the throttle works both ways. Plans are well underway to ride it…
