2022 Husqvarna FS 450 | Supermoto, baby!

No data was found

Ever fancied a go at supermoto? I had a go a few years ago and let me tell you, it’s really, really good. But you don’t need to take my word for it, because if you’ve got £10,499, you can buy yourself a 2022 Husqvarna FS 450 and have a go.

Ok, so why would you spend that sort of money on what is, essentially, a toy? Well first of all, supermoto is one of the most exciting forms of motorsport going. If you haven’t tried it yet, you need to. It’s got all the excitement of off-road and on-road racing, rolled into one… and because you’re unlikely to be doing 100mph+, it almost feels safe.

But what’s so good about the FS 450? Well it’s one of the only purpose-built supermoto race bikes you can buy and with it’s smattering of upgrades for 2022, promises to be a bit of a weapon. Ok, it’s a small smattering, but a smattering none the less. Can you tell I like the word ‘smattering’? Anyway, the new model comes with a slightly different colour scheme and a new Brembo hydraulic clutch. See, I told you it was a small smattering.

Smattering

But the new stickers and clutch compliment a fairly trick spec, as it is. WP XACT suspension, Brembo brakes, Pankl Racing Systems gearbox, CNC machined triple clamps, ProTaper handlebars, Alpina wheels, Bridgestone slicks, and a carbon fibre composite subframe make the 2022 Husqvarna FS 450 one of the leading supermoto race bikes on the market. If not the leading supermoto racer on the market.

The single cylinder SOHC motor makes 63bhp which might not sound like a lot, but it’ll probably feel like a lot when your muscling the thing around a supermoto track. Unfortunately there isn’t a massive supermoto racing scene in the UK, so I don’t know how many of these Husqvarna will actually sell. Especially when you consider the fact that they are over £10k which let’s face it, is a lot of money.

But if I had a load of spare cash, and a supermoto track in by back garden, I’d definitely have a 2022 Husqvarna FS 450.
