Calm down, calm down. Today’s Yamaha announcement at the Bol d’Or isn’t the all-new R6, R8 or an R1 SP as some were suggesting. Instead, Yamaha has treated the entire Supersports range to some yellow paint for 2016 to mark the firm’s 60th anniversary, with the spec’ sheet remaining fairly stock.
The R1, R6, R3 and R125 will have the iconic speedblock design as a limited edition option, paying homage to Yamaha’s legendary racers, and the 60th Anniversary Yamaha YZF-R1 comes with an Akrapovic slip-on can. No prices have been confirmed but expect to see them in Yamaha dealers in December. Dear Santa…
